Georges Adéagbo (artist, Cotonou / Benin and Hamburg)

Georges Adéagbo (born 1942 in Cotonou, Benin) lives and works in Cotonou and Hamburg. As someone self-taught, Adéagbo works with complex installations from everyday objects, texts and objects of art. With these he has been internationally represented at exhibitions since the mid-90s, inter alia in: Moderna Museet, Stockholm (2014); Parque Lage, Rio de Janeiro (2014); Paris Triennale, Paris (2012); Biennale Regard Benin (2012); MUSAC, León (2011); ARS 11 Kiasma, Helsinki (2011); MAK Vienna (2009); Venice Biennale (2009); Palazzo Vecchio Florence (2008); Documenta 11, Kassel (2002); São Paulo Biennale (1998).
